Local Financial Advisor Achieves CFP Certification
Justin Kawcak, LPL Financial Advisor and Founder of Altitude Financial Services, recently became a Certified Financial Planner or CFP Professional.
According to the company, the certification is awarded to finance professionals who have met standards of experience, knowledge, and ethical conduct in financial planning.
Kawcak serves customers primarily in northwest Colorado and southern Wyoming, but has customers nationwide.
The distinction is awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Finance professionals must complete the CFP training program and pass an exam that assesses their ability to apply their knowledge of financial planning to client situations.
Of the 2,705 candidates who sat for the CFP certification exam in March, only 65% passed. CFP professionals also agree to meet continuing education requirements and follow the CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct.
“Our team is committed to learning, developing and continually improving our expertise and services,” Kawcak said in a press release. “Achieving this designation further reflects that commitment, enhancing our ability to provide holistic, comprehensive and personalized strategies that help clients achieve their financial goals. So far, 2022 has been a tough year for investors. We do not take our responsibilities lightly by providing the communities we serve with a detailed and well-thought-out plan. ”
It takes approximately 1,000 hours of study for an individual to complete the course and then pass the six-hour exam.
