Vern Hayden, CFP™, author of South Salem and financial planning legend, has joined Rightirement Wealth Partners, a fiduciary financial planning firm, as a financial planner. Mr. Hayden has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 1978. He founded the Hudson Valley Chapter of the Financial Planning Association in 1987 and has served on the FPA’s National Board of Directors. In 1994 and 1995, he served as president of the College for Financial Planning, which created the CFP designation. He is also one of the founders of the National Endowment for Financial Education, which provides financial knowledge and resources to the general public.
In 2021, Connecticut FPA established the annual Vern Hayden Lifetime Achievement Award.
