King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, March 31, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – George Nichols III, President and CEO of the American College of Financial Services, today announced the launch of a new partnership with the Society for Financial Education and Professional Development (SFE & PD) aimed to address the financial literacy knowledge gap in communities of color and the lack of diversity in the financial services industry.
Under-represented communities have faced institutional barriers to financial security and wealth for decades, leaving a large gap between those who benefit from the current system and those who are left behind.

Through collaboration between The College, the nation’s largest accredited nonprofit institution dedicated to applied financial knowledge and education, and SFE & PD, a national nonprofit leader in the financial literacy movement, both organizations will be able to improve the financial education and well-being of underserved communities by providing access to tools and support, such as HBCU scholarships, mentorship and internship opportunities, access to college education programs and peer-to-peer financial literacy programs that help students build successful career paths.
